ArtMED Final Event in Brescia: Shaping the future of mobility across European regions

ArtMED is approaching its official closure with an on-site final event in Brescia (Italy), bringing together public authorities, mobility experts, researchers, transport operators and practitioners to explore how European regions can plan and implement more sustainable, data-informed mobility systems.

The ArtMED Final Event “Shaping the future of mobility: planning sustainable solutions across European regions” will showcase the project’s key outcomes and lessons learned on Autonomous Mobility on Demand (AMOD) and strategic mobility planning in the Interreg Euro-MED area.

What we will discuss

The conference agenda is structured around high-impact themes that are shaping the transition to cleaner, safer and more efficient mobility systems:

  • Technology trends shaping the future of mobility, including automation and MaaS perspectives
  • Towards net-zero mobility, focusing on energy, infrastructure and the implications of the clean transition
  • Road safety: from risk analysis to action, with a policy and governance lens
  • Mobility demand and urban planning, connecting data, scenarios and decision-making (including DRT and AMOD)
  • Urban mobility in practice, integrating public transport with shared and on-demand solutions

Simultaneous English/Italian translation will be available.

Programme highlights (selected sessions)

The day opens with welcome remarks and an introduction to the project, followed by thematic sessions featuring expert speakers and case-based insights. Indicatively, the programme includes:

  • Technology trends shaping the future of mobility (MaaS trials, micromobility enabling technologies, etc.)

  • Net-zero mobility and infrastructure (energy-to-mobility perspectives and resilient urban mobility systems)

  • Road safety in urban areas (emerging risks and evidence-based action)

  • Mobility demand & urban planning (demand management, “mobility on demand” cases, and adaptive planning solutions)

  • Integrating public transport with shared/on-demand mobility, closing with final reflection
