ALOT Vision Statement outlines the vision and mission of the ArtMED project, focusing on enhancing autonomous mobility and demand-responsive transport (AMOD and DRT) in the Lombardy Region (IT), particularly in the provinces of Brescia and Mantua. Each has specific challenges such as limited public transport accessibility, reliance on private vehicles, high operational costs and reduced public transport services are identified, and tailored objectives for improving transportation services:
• Monte Isola (BS) will improve the efficiency of the mobility connections for tourists and for residents in;
• Collebeato (BS) will introduce of a temporary shuttle to connect the city to the Brescia metropolitan station;
• Oltrepò Mantovano (MN) will increase public transportation in the 10 municipalities located east of the Secchia River improving connections with the main nodes and railway networks;
• Curtatone (MN) will extend the public transport network in a capillary way to guarantee connections with the center of Mantua.
Public transport authorities, municipalities and provinces, transport agencies, services providers will be reached by the vision statement to support the transition towards the reduction of emissions, the increase of accessibility and of transport efficiency through autonomous and eco-friendly solutions.
